Upside Down
by Jack Johnson
Jack Hody Johnson wrote and recorded “Upside Down“. In February 2006, it was released on an album Sing-A-Longs and Lullabies for the Film Curious George. At the same time it was released as a single. It reached #38, his first US Top 40 hit.
Jack Johnson was born in Hawaii in 1975. At the age of 17 he was the youngest invitee to make the surfing finals at the Pipeline Masters. Unfortunately is surfing career was short-lived when he had an accident at the pipeline resulting in over 150 stitches across his forehead and the loss of a few teeth.
He currently has 5 albums and sold over 15 million copies worldwide. His talents are not limited to songwriting and composing music. He has also co-directed, directed and starred in a couple of films, The September Sessions, released in December 2002 and A Brokedown Melody in 2004.
After the release of his third album he created a non-profit organization called Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation. The foundation helps children in Hawaii and focuses on environmental, arts and music education. The foundation raised over $750,000 to give away in 2009-2010 alone.
