I L.O.V.E. this song by Kris Allen. This song came out 3 days before my mom passed away and it reminded me to “tell her that I love her” even though she knew that I always loved her. I miss her SO MUCH and wish I could tell her again. So glad this song went PLATINUM for Kris!

      Hey Linda,

It is amazing how the subtle things can make all the difference. By the way, you just did tell her again. Please share with us a few special things about your mom. We would love to know her a bit more through your memory.

My mom had a magnetic personality! Even people who didn’t know her would come up and start talking to her (i.e. in the grocery store). She never had a bad word to say about anybody and always looked for the good in people. She was an inspiration to my brother and me and always tried to set a good example. She was a loving wife and mother. She battled cancer for 5 1/2 years and was able to share in the births of seven great grandchildren during that time. My mom and I loved to watch American Idol together. She was fascinated in the way I “fell in love” with Kris Allen the very first time I heard him sing Man in the Mirror. Right before she passed away in Sep 2009, we spent the day looking at the You Tube videos of Kris Allen and Adam Lambert. I will never forget that day! We had so much fun. It was really one of the last times together that she was feeling OK. I miss my mom dearly and I thank Kris Allen every day for being such an inspiration to others.

      Great memories Linda,

I would have liked to have met your mom. It sounds like she was a wonderful encourager. Glad you had that very special time with her to reminisce on.
I have a special spot for that song with my 14 year old daughter. She would be singing it and I would sing along, but I never got that seconds in a day part quite right. My daughter would try to correct me, but to no avail:) Good times!

Thanks so much for sharing. It matters.

      Live it LOUD!
