“Failure doesn’t mean you are a failure…it just means you haven’t succeeded yet.”
~ Robert Schuller
I know a little bit about failure. As a teen I worked at over ten different places. I’ve failed in a business at least five times.
You can say that I have amassed a list of what not to do.
I have. But, I’ve also compiled a list of what to do.
These are the things that I have learned along the way. They have made the biggest difference for me.
This is What I Know:
-
No one can make you happy, except you.

Seeking the ‘right person’ that will make the sun rise and set isn’t going to cut it. Instead, be the person that makes you happy. -
No matter what path you start life on, you can choose another if it doesn’t suit you. And another, if that one doesn’t suit you. Nothing is written in stone. There are many paths. Choose one today.
-
Nothing takes the place of persistence. You will surely rise to the top by remembering this one sentence.
-
Physical exercise relieves stress. It has been helpful throughout my life. Try it.
-
Your tomorrow is based upon what you do today. This one took me a long painful time to learn. What do you see for yourself tomorrow? Work on it today.
-
You can think differently than you do now, but it takes work. Most of your thinking and behavior has been learned. You can learn a new way at anytime. Read, listen to audio and watch videos. Talk to others you admire.
-
Children need their parents to be there for them.
-
Life is better if you laugh, sing, or dance at home or in public. Don’t live in a box. Experiment, experience, and enjoy life.
-
Uncommon things can be accomplished by common folk. This repeats the persistent theme. I have accomplished more than most thought I would. I have seen others accomplish far more than myself. The one thing that made it possible was persistence.
-
A spouse or loved one needs to know that they have value to you.
-
Any fear can be overcome.
-
Giving is one of the best ways to receive.
-
The smallest act begun today can make the difference when you look back 30 days from now.
-
Today has power, if, you want it to. Don’t count on next week. Don’t count on maybes. You have today. Use it. Make today count.
I know that you will benefit from incorporating some of these into your daily life. It has been a long learning process for me. I am hoping that it will be a faster process for you.
Live it LOUD!
