Who can succeed?
There is a myth out there, and I’ve read about it. You’ve heard about it.
There is a thought that the only way that you can make it, and be very successful is with integrity. And, most of the top business people that are successful, are so because they have integrity. The thought goes that the common bond that ties all of these people together is integrity.
C’mon people. That is nonsense. I must burst the bubble.
There are people at the top who haven’t a clue what integrity is. There are also people that are lazy, don’t care much for work and don’t work much. The success I’m talking about by the way, is mainly financial success. I’m not talking about success in all areas of their lives. There are plenty of people who have lied and or cheated to obtain financial wealth. There are those who are nothing less than thieves whom have obtained financial wealth. Wealthy people are fat and skinny, lazy and go-getters, disingenuous and honest, lacking integrity and having a high regard for integrity. There are people who have earned their wealth that are considered unattractive, others attractive. There are some with physical impairments, others that are physical specimens. There are wealthy people who are intellectual and poor people who are dense. There are dense people who are wealthy, as well as intellectuals that are poor. There are those who’ve had a wonderful childhood that are wealthy, and those who’ve had a tough upbringing that are poor. There are plenty of folks who’ve had a terrible childhood that are wonderfully rich, as well as those with a fantastic childhood living paycheck to paycheck.
So, what exactly am I getting at? Let me lay it out for you. Anyone can succeed. It matters not what your last name is. Your appearance doesn’t matter. Any example that you could give me is rife with examples of others that overcame those odds and made it. And, made it big. I will even point out that there are those who never wanted or expected to make it, but did anyhow.
What does that mean for us? The ones that are bent on ‘making it’? It means with properly placed effort our ticket will be punched. Nothing is holding us back, but ourselves. Look around and see that what I’ve written is true. There are countless examples. Some with near identical challenges to the ones that you’re facing right now.
Get out there and live it, and live it LOUD!
Remember friend, you are the only you, you have!
